This Diablo 4 Season 15 endgame guide lays out a gearing order from level 70 to Torment 12 for Season of Hell's Legacy on patch 3.2.2, checked in October 2026. It follows the structure of Maxroll's Endgame Progression guide (updated September 19) and adds numbers from wudijo's Season 15 spreadsheet and the 3.2.1 patch notes. The short version: fix the cheap, large upgrades first, and do not climb Torment faster than your character can clear.
New here? Start with this
After level 70 the game is measured in Torment tiers, 1 through 12. The Pit is the yardstick: if you can clear a Pit level quickly, you belong in the matching Torment.

A few terms you will meet in every guide:
- Ancestral items start dropping in Torment. Maxroll's equipment page gives them 900 Item Power and a chance at Greater Affixes.
- Tempering adds an extra affix from a manual you have collected. Masterworking raises an item's Quality, up to 25 in Maxroll's guide.
- Glyphs sit in Paragon boards and are leveled by clearing the Pit.
- Lair Bosses drop specific Uniques. Since Lord of Hatred, a boss Unique has a single dedicated boss.
- Mythic Uniques are max-rolled versions of Uniques, plus a few Mythic-only items.
Your first goal at 70 is not loot. It is Season Rank 1 to 4, which pays out the extra Skill Points, easy gear and Lair Boss keys, and whose Rank 2 Capstone unlocks the Pit.
The roadmap
Starting out: Torment 1 to 4
- Use the Horadric Cube to upgrade Rare items into Legendaries. That is now the reliable way to fill your Codex with Aspects.
- Collect Tempering manuals and temper every slot. Rare-quality tempers are fine for now.
- Farm Paragon to roughly level 100 for the Legendary nodes.
- Level the glyphs your guide lists to 25 for the wider radius.
- Move to Ancestral gear, weapons first. Temper them at once, but hold off on Masterworking until the item is a keeper.
- Then spend Obducite on Masterworking, again weapons first, because their base damage rises with every Quality rank.
Patch 3.2.1 raised Legendary drop rates in Torment I through V. Blizzard's note says the aim is to make players less reliant on Cube upgrades to complete the Codex.
Midgame: around Torment 5
Maxroll starts this phase when you can clear Pit 40.
- Take your main glyphs to 51 for the Legendary bonus and another radius increase. Keep Pit runs under five minutes.
- Spend the Lair Boss keys from Season Rank only on bosses that drop Uniques your build uses, and group up if you can.
- Finish Masterworking to Quality 25 and steer the capstone bonuses onto useful affixes.
Endgame: Torment 10 and beyond
This begins when Pit 80 is comfortable. Torment 10 improves material income, boss loot, Ancestral rates and the drop rate of Mythic Seals.
- Keep working through Season Rank, including Echo of Mephisto. Since 3.2.1 he has a guaranteed Mythic drop.
- Farm Resplendent Sparks and Mythics for the Endgame variant of your build.
- Keep pushing glyphs past 51.
War Plans: the multipliers people skip
War Plans came with Lord of Hatred and are, in Maxroll's words, incredibly important for progression. Its recommended first nodes:

| Activity | Rush this node | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Tree of Whispers | Tree of Plenty, Corrupted Roots | More cache choices and free extras |
| Nightmare Dungeons | Nemesis, then Fearless Conviction | More elites and Cube materials |
| Helltide | Writhe and Rot | Paragon experience and Lair keys |
| Undercity | Gutter Filth or Jade Epiphany | More chests or more experience |
| Lair Bosses | The middle path | Nemesis portals with extra bosses |
| The Pit | Heart of Stone, Choron's Blessing | Faster runs, more glyph upgrades |
Since Season 15 this progress is shared across your characters in the same partition.
When to move up a Torment
Maxroll's summary is that it is often more efficient to farm a lower Torment where things die fast. wudijo's difficulty tab shows why. Each Torment step multiplies monster health by about 4.8 and monster damage by about 1.58. Going from Torment 10 to 12 means roughly 23 times the health, yet his experience estimate only rises from about 685 million to 800 million per hour.
His toughness targets in the first table are a useful gate: about 30k for Torment 1, 200k for Torment 5, 2 million for Torment 10 and 5 million for Torment 12. If you are below the number, fix defences before damage.
Cliptis makes the same argument in the description of his Season 15 gearing video: "Progress first. Optimize when optimization actually matters."
Mythics and the Season 15 chase
Blizzard lists three ways to craft a Mythic Unique:
- Horadric Cube, Upgrade Direct Item to Mythic. A one-to-one conversion that keeps affixes, Tempering and Masterworking. The result carries a Crafted tag and you can equip only one Crafted item. It does not work on Unmodifiable items.
- Jeweler, Rune Crafting. No Crafted tag.
- Blacksmith, Mythic Cache. No Crafted tag, with a second cache that rolls only Iconic Mythics.

wudijo's sheet puts the Blacksmith and Jeweler routes at three Resplendent Sparks each (the Jeweler adds runes); notes from the BlizzCon panel put the Cube upgrade at five. Season Rank alone grants up to 10 Sparks and 5 Mythic caches.
Patch 3.2.1 also changed targeting: Mythics from Lair Bosses and Belial's Hoard now come only from that boss's own Unique pool, with a small chance of others through generic loot. So farm the boss that drops your item. The description of Mobalytics's Mythic farming video argues that Nightmare Dungeons and Prime Evil encounters are a steadier source of Sparks than Lair Bosses.
The season's own chase sits in the Prime Evil Capstones:
- Legacy Uniques. Maxroll's observed rates are about 15% for common ones such as Leoric's Crown, about 10% for In-Geom and Squirt's Blouse, and about 5% for Stone of Jordan. It recommends farming Baal because his runs are shortest.
- Hellfire Torch. Kill the Capstone versions of Diablo, Baal and Mephisto for their Splinters, combine them in the Cube into Wirt's Lucky Coins, complete Deckard's Journey, then use the fountain in the Echo of Tristram.
- Annihilus. A Unique Seal first found on September 30. Maxroll reports it from a stronger Echo of Diablo that can appear after a World Boss dies; the trigger is not fully understood.

For veterans
- Glyph diminishing returns. wudijo's sample calculation for a five-glyph build has glyphs at 150 worth about 1.38 times the damage of glyphs at 110, at a cost of nearly six hours of Pit runs, with 140 to 150 alone taking about three and a half.
- Transfigure last. Maxroll's Cube guide says to socket, Masterwork and imprint first, because a Transfigured item almost always becomes Unmodifiable. It estimates a 1 in 16 chance that it does not.
- New Cube recipes. Affix Value Reroll rerolls base affix values while protecting Greater Affixes, Tempers and Enchants. Horadric Reroll fully rerolls base affixes on Legendary or better Charms and Seals.
- Resistances were rebalanced. Single-resistance affixes are now worth seven times an All Resistance affix. Recheck old gear habits.
- Pinnacle Capstones. The panel notes describe the hardest versions as balanced around a Torment 13 equivalent.
- Paragon 300. It takes about 58 billion experience, and wudijo's notes put the halfway point at Paragon 279.
